I've always had a love for horses, so thats been a huge part of my journey. The teach us so much about ourselves, the just tell it how it is, in the moment!
Born in Sydney & lived in Cairns from 7yrs of age, I had the best childhood, super loving supportive family. Followed family footsteps into business, but at 22yrs old I wanted to travel overseas and do the 'horse thing'. So off I went in 2004. Working & Living in USA for 5 years - living the dream!.
It came mighty close to not happening, but it did come true. I was living my dream, I had to pinch myself sometimes!
I returned to Australia in 2009 and started traveling around from Sydney, to Cairns, to Adelaide & Tasmania teaching horsemanship. Another huge dream, living it. Was it hard work - golly gosh it was, but i was not the type of person to be stuck behind a's desk doing the 9-5 job. I couldn't work on someone else's dream or just be another number. I wanted a purpose, a mission in life, and at the time, I felt like I had that.
Then the dream got bigger, and now traveling on the road 80% of the time and 20% at home. A bigger truck, a bigger trailer and off we went. I was living the dream, just a girl, her three horses and her jack russell dog - pure bliss!
And I LOVED it, I truly loved it, until I didn't.....
I loved the people, I loved the beautiful scenery, I loved my dog coming everywhere with me, I loved alot about it.
Until it catches up with you because your 'working' and driving somewhere every single weekend! Because your living out of a suitcase and trying to find a laundromat every week, because your truck and trailer can't fit in the grocery store parking lot, or get a quick takeaway for dinner. Because you're always working with someone else horse and not your own, because you can't just leave the horses anywhere and go and get your truck serviced, because you've driven for 11hours today & have no energy or brain cells left to answer emails or marketing for your next clinic - so there's no one at your next clinic. Because your paying rent at home and stables and camping whilst on the road - it was getting very expensive and not much financial gain.
There were alot of things but mostly that you loose that inner spark for yourself, you forget the next dream, or forget to plan for next years dream and then all of a sudden 3 years passes and you wonder where you are or where you are going. The company I worked with had seem to have lost its direction and lots of promises made, but not delivered. There was no purpose as a team, no striving for your next advancement or helping bring the next generation along.
I love love love to help people. I love teaching horsemanship, I will always have horses and teaching as part of my life. But I want more. I want to live the lifestyle I imagine, I want to help people to be happy, to live their dream and share with them a way to become financially abundant, to have more time to do the things they love and to be healthy whilst doing all of this. Because if you don't have your health - you don't have much!
